The idea of a seasonal recap came to me after hearing the theme of this year’s book: Change of Pace. Our amazing staff members had been working so hard to display LT’s community and how it was changing across the different seasons, and I wanted to do my part to translate that to social media.

Each seasonal recap is a ten-slide carousel post with collaged photos and overlapping cuts. The photographers on staff supplied the photos towards the end of the season. When collecting photos, I made sure to have coverage for all of the activities that made that season what it was. The recaps were also a great way for photos that might not have gotten published in the yearbooks to shine, leading me to receive amazing group, detail, and community-based photos.

Other key elements from each recap include the cover photo taken of the same tree from season to season, symbolizing how even with change we are still one school at the end of the day, and the solo photo that appears once per recap, which was used to highlight not just the individual but to embrace that each and every one of our own actions can lead to making a community like LT great.
